Times have changed since the ten oared rowing and sailing lifeboats, to the present 47 foot self righting steel hulled Tyne class lifeboat, the RFA Sir Galahad, costing not £125 but £495,000.
The one unchanging constant in the past century and a half is the volunteer crew, the Tenby Lifeboat Man. Generation follows generation, Fathers, Sons, Brothers, Cousins prepared to risk their own lives to help strangers in peril on the sea.
The recording by The Bushwackers is respectfully dedicated to the selfless courage and dedication of all lifeboat crew past, present and future.
£3.40 from the sale of every CD went to the Tenby Lifeboat Fund.
The Tenby Lifeboat Man has the following songs all written and
performed by The Bushwackers (now
